The Ingenuity helicopter, which has now proved its capabilities beyond expectations on an alien planet, is preparing for its 29th flight on Mars. Before it soars into the skies above the Red Planet’s surface again, the quadcopter has beamed a video of its longest, fastest flight on the alien world.

On April 8, the Ingenuity helicopter, then on its record-breaking 25th flight, had covered a record distance of 704 meters while flying at a speed of 5.5 meters per second.

“For our record-breaking flight, Ingenuity’s downward-looking navigation camera provided us with a breathtaking sense of what it would feel like gliding 33 feet above the surface of Mars at 12 miles per hour,” Ingenuity team lead, Teddy Tzanetos, said in a statement.
