Confined spaces and indoor drone specialist Flyability has released a new LiDAR surveying payload for the Elios 3. Available as part of a bundle including training, reflective targets, and specialized processing software, FARO Connect, Flyability’s new Ouster OS0-128 Rev 7 payload is designed for safe, centimeter-accurate scans of hard-to-reach areas.

The new LiDAR payload for the Elios 3 indoor drone comes as an upgrade to the existing Ouster OS0-32 Rev 6.2 offering from Flyability. It offers greater precision and accuracy, a wider range, higher point density, and improved photon sensitivity.

More specifically, the new drone LiDAR payload enables volumetric measurements that are accurate to within 1% of terrestrial laser scans, distance measurements with centimeter precision, and more detailed point clouds with sharper definition. In addition, this product is better suited for symmetrical environments, such as those found in wastewater pipes and…
