Sony’s New Drone-Focused Camera Released

Sony’s ILX-LR1 is a fresh E-mount full-frame mirrorless camera, weighing in at only half a pound. Despite its modest size, it’s powered by the latest Bionz XR processor and can shoot in impressive 4K video at up to 60 fps.
But, there’s a twist. This camera skips on several typical features. No electronic viewfinder, no screen, no standard grip, and it doesn’t even have its own battery. Set to release in December, it’s primarily designed for upscale drones and unique industrial purposes like surveying.
