Counter-drone detection and takeover technology leader D-Fend Solutions has been chosen to take part in the FAA’s Airport UAS Detection and Mitigation Research Program, under Section 383 of the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2018. The company’s EnforceAir C-UAS system will go through initial testing at Atlantic City International Airport (KACY), with potential additional tests to occur at other airports.

EnforceAir is the program’s first first RF-cyber based advanced protocol full takeover UAS detection and mitigation system, and is designed to optimize threat detection and mitigation in airports through a counter-drone approach enabling nearby authorized drones to continue operations without affecting navigation or communications systems, damaging infrastructure, or burdening…
