Walmart And Wing Elevate Shopping With Drone Deliveries

Walmart, always on the hunt for cutting-edge ways to serve customers, has big News! “Two years ago, we embarked on a journey to make the convenience of drone delivery a reality for our customers,” they said. Since then, they’ve expanded the service across seven states, covered 36 stores, and have over 10,000 safe drone deliveries under their belt.
The retail giant is now joining forces with Wing, a dynamic drone delivery service from Alphabet (yep, that’s Google’s parent company). In the next few months, Dallas folks are in for a treat, as the service will roll out from two local stores, bringing the drone-delivery magic to about 60,000 more homes.
Walmart’s goal? Simple: “Finding innovative and eco-friendly last-mile delivery solutions to get customers the items they want, when they want them.”
Delivery drones make this dream possible by covering a 6-mile radius from their launch points. And the first lucky store to kick things off? The Walmart Supercenter…
