Drone-Assisted Sting Nabs Drug Trafficker

In a recent breakthrough, a Sedalia woman has been arrested and charged with second-degree drug trafficking following a meticulously planned drone-assisted Police operation.
Sedalia Police executed a search warrant on June 7 at a property situated in the 2800 block of Highway TT. In an innovative use of technology, detectives employed a drone to tail a gray GMC pickup truck leaving the premises.
Jessica Brown, the 34-year-old driver of the truck, was subsequently pulled over by Pettis County deputies at the Tiger Eagle Stop on East Broadway Boulevard.
Despite Brown’s refusal to permit a search of her truck, a K9 officer was able to detect the presence of narcotics.
Upon further investigation, deputies discovered a substantial amount of substance resembling methamphetamine in her purse, some portion of which was neatly packed into individual bags.
Back at the police department, the seized items were inventoried, leading to the identification of around 13.3 grams…
