Check out these computer generated images of a DJI Mini 4 prototype designed by drone enthusiast Chen Ji Gazer. Clearly these images do not show a ‘real’ DJi prototype, but it is rare to see design suggestions that are this well done. Let’s take a closer look.

The suggested drone design has arms that both fold downward as well as slide out to get the props further away from the body of the unmanned aircraft. The props are mounted underneath the arms and it seems that the blades of the front props might overlap with the props in the back. It seems like the design needs a little fine-tuning there.

On the top of the DJI Mini 4, we see a white DJI logo on the battery. The battery design is very similar to the DJI Avata’s battery design it seems. It appears to slide in from behind. On the front of the drone we see two forward facing obstacle avoidance sensors that double as rearward facing sensors as well.
