AFWERX Awards Asylon $1.2M Contract

AFWERX has awarded automated robotic security leader Asylon Robotics Inc. a $1.2M Phase II Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contract for the transition of its DroneCore platform from a fixed position to mobile asset, in addition to implementing ruggedization capabilities for operation within maritime environments.

Asylon will assist Patrick Space Force Base 45th Security Forces Squadron through the announcement of the development of DroneCore Tactical for deployment on long-range mobile ISR missions. DroneCore Tactical will make use of a roll-on and roll-off universal vehicle robotic automation kit, enabling non-technical users to remotely launch and pilot a drone from a variety of trucks.
