So, by far one of the biggest questions that I receive on what seems like a daily basis is why the newer drones made by DJI don’t have the waypoints function built in. Well, it seems like DJI has finally listened to us. They’ve finally answered our wishes.

If you own a DJI Mavic 3 Classic, Mavic 3 Standard, or Mavic 3 Cine. the newest Firmware Update adds the waypoints function to your drone.

So, once you install this update right on the main flight screen where your live feed is, you’ll be able to select the waypoints icon, that sits just on the left side.

This brings up a small menu at the bottom that lets you begin setting waypoints in flight.

So, once you get your drone into a position that you want to set a waypoint at you’ll press the plus icon right on the screen in the waypoints menu or you can press the C1 one button on the back side of the remote controller.
