Fighting Drone Registration “schemes” With Free Stickers

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requires all drones that weigh over 250 grams to be registered when they are flown for recreational reasons. Every drone, flown under Part 107 drone rules, also needs to be registered regardless of weight. The cost is $5 and registration is valid for 3 years.
Most drone pilots know that their drones need to be registered to fly legally. However, when you search Google for “FAA Drone Zone” and other related queries, many people end up on websites that are confusingly similar to the FAA’s.
