Drone footage shows the far-reaching effects flood waters have had on the northern Red River Valley – Grand Forks Herald

EAST GRAND FORKS — Cities and counties throughout northeast North Dakota and northwest Minnesota have been fighting rising rivers this week as water levels quickly increased amid heavy rains and melting snow last weekend.

Even as rivers, like the Red River at Grand Forks/East Grand Forks, begin to crest, fields across the region remain flooded. Roads also remain closed throughout the area and more rain may be on the way this weekend.
