The mountainous Chilean city of Valparaíso is characterized by many narrow streets and stairs. A challenge for downhillers. For that reason, the city is the annual backdrop for the Red Bull Valparaíso Cerro Abajo, where mountain bikers from all over the world make breakneck descents. This year, rider Tomas Slavik was followed by an FPV racing drone throughout the track.

Big challenge

A team from Dutch Drone Gods was flown to Valparaíso to make the recording. There was a lot involved in realizing the one-take shot of Tomas Slavik’s descent. Flying through the narrow streets is a challenge in itself. But signal loss between the dense buildings is an even bigger challenge.
