The Swedish start-up Aerit has received operational authorization from Transportstyrelsen, Sweden’s national transportation agency, to pilot last-mile drone delivery in Sweden.

“The authorization is an important milestone in Aerit’s journey to become the world’s leading drone delivery service. I am very proud of the team and the hard-work they have invested to get to this point. We are now ready to show what we can deliver”, said Aerit CEO and Co-founder, Alexander Perrien.

Aerit’s operational authorization is made possible by the Specific Operations Risk Assessment (SORA) process provided by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) that came into effect in January, 2021.
